Why I am lucky:
I have a wonderful friend who invited me to see Ani DiFranco live. So much fun!
I have a wonderful Mom who was happy to watch my little monster for me so that I could go.
I have a wonderful son who can now say two phrases: more and thank you. He can also climb onto my bed now and hide under the covers.
I have a wonderful fiance who does the dishes after they pile up from a long school week....

J.D. Salinger died yesterday in his New Hampshire home of natural causes.
I can’t tell you how lucky I am to have the ability to get an education without going broke, to have health insurance that covers my needs, to live in a country where I feel safe and warm, and to have enough money to pay for lunch at Wellesley (even though the price has gone up from $5.84 to $7.44 since last semester).

I had so much fun in New York this weekend. Here is what I did:
Bloomingdale’s to buy a bridal shower gift. Fell in love with just about everything I saw but then realized I am too poor to afford most of it.
